Colts Neck AYC Cheer
Dear Colts Neck Families,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news for the upcoming season! Our Colts Neck AYF Football and AYC Cheer programs are expanding significantly this year. Due to continued growth and strong community interest, we are proud to announce that we will be expanding from one team each to four football teams and four sideline cheer teams.
This growth allows us to welcome many more cheerleaders than our previous season. We are currently planning for four AYC sideline cheer teams, with divisions based on each child’s age as of July 1, 2026. Please keep this date in mind when registering.
AYC Cheer Team Divisions:
• D14 (Ages 11–14): Cheering for D11 football
• D10 (Ages 9–10): Cheering for D10 football
• D8 (Ages 7–8): Cheering for D9 football
• D6 (Ages 5–6, and must be entering 1st grade in the fall): Cheering for D7 football
** teams maybe combined and are subject to change according to the number of football teams **
Each cheer team has a head coach in place.

We are currently seeking assistant coaches. Cheerleading and/or dance experience is required, and experience spotting gymnastics skills is a plus. If you are interested in joining our coaching staff,

Cheer teams will attend all AYF football games, including playoff games. Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of forming an AYC competition cheer team if there is enough interest in the future.
We will be hosting:
• A Parent Information Meeting on February 23, 2026 at 6 pm at the Colts Neck Library to review practices, games, and program expectations
• A Cheer Clinic to give prospective cheerleaders an opportunity to experience cheerleading before committing to full registration.
This will run the first 3 Fridays of March from 5-7 pm at Bucks Mill Rec Center. March 6, 13, and 20. (Times may be staggered depending on the number of registrations).
The cost for the clinic will be $100, which will include a Colts Neck cheer t shirt.
The fall AYF football season will run from mid-July through mid-November, including playoffs. If a competition team is formed, the competition season would run from October through December.
We are incredibly excited about the growth of our program and look forward to another successful and memorable season. More details will be shared soon. Please complete the attached clinic registration form if planning on attending.
